JOB OVERVIEW

- OVERALL – Provide Full Cycle Processing of all payroll & benefits and provide all human resource administrative functions for the Company.
- PAYROLL PROCESSING - Coordinate & verify weekly payroll processing (220+ Employees within 3 different entities); Ensure accurate and complete process documentation; Update payroll records by entering pay rate changes, exemptions, deductions, and transfers; Field & respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies. Enter certified payroll into the Company’s LCP tracker system.
- FORM W-4/EMPLOYEE TAX SETUP - Review W-4s and maintain Federal, State, and local tax compliance for employee tax withholding; Facilitate new employee documentation and testing.
- ACCRUALS/ADJUSTMENTS - Process monthly payroll related accruals; Review & process payroll adjustments.
- FORM W-2 - Assist Controller with year-end W-2s and other mandatory filings as required.
- GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESPONSES - Prepare responses to notices from government agencies and other organizations regarding employee earnings and information, including unemployment, garnishments, wage reviews, etc.
- BENEFITS - Administer insurance benefits in conjunction with benefits vendors and broker.
- HRIS - Develop and maintain the online Human Resources Information System.
- HR PROCESSES - Help develop and coordinate recruitment process, onboarding, personnel files, documentation, training and development opportunities and other human resource tasks.
- FINANCIAL & TAX REPORTING - Provide support for financial and tax reporting requirements to payroll and benefits.
- COMMUNICATION - Communicate effectively and diplomatically with internal and external constituents with a dedication to providing the highest level of service.
- EMPLOYEE BACK UP - Ensure a backup is trained for all payroll & HR processes.
- PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Proactive planning to develop and implement strategies to capture efficiencies and improve service.
- SPECIAL PROJECTS – Assist the Controller with special projects such as auditing data integrity in all systems.
- SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT – No Direct Reports or Indirect Reports initially but will work with others within the Company on a daily/weekly basis as noted above leading and providing the Company’s Payroll & HR services to all employees.
