JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Quality Controller – Fleet Performance to join our Ship Performance team. The position requires producing high quality, detailed work based on well-defined processes and standards.

We require an individual with high level of analytical focus to produce precise and consistent work output. The position is responsible for review, verification and reporting of data according to established requirements.

The position is expected to cooperate and support colleagues and bring forward relevant matters within own area of responsibility.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Data quality in Odfjell Tankers operational software (IMOS, ORCA, ORCA-web and Web-AoL)
• Identification of vessels with poor reporting standards and/or officers unfamiliar with the ORCA software; active arrangement for software training sessions and sharing of recommended workflows and best practices
• Alert handling via Centralized Alert Dashboard (CAD): identification of energy efficiency concerns, technical problems, and poor data quality
• Preparation of data set for regulatory compliance, and emissions reports to customers
• Facilitation of good communications with vessel officers and relevant shore personnel
• Support and collaboration with Fleet Performance Analyst (FPA) in Manila
• Miscellaneous tasks on ad-hoc basis

TASKS:
The Quality Controller – Fleet Performance ---
• Checks that AoL reports are received, e.g., reviews all sections of each AoL and follows-up non-compliance cases with vessel officers and relevant shore personnel. Coordinates with Fleet Performance Analyst (FPA) Manila to get structured data relevant for understanding applicable external factors, performance, and operational condition.
• Checks that Port Log events are received., e.g., evaluates port, berth, and cargo events and follows-up non-compliance cases or quality observations with vessel officers (Captain and Chief Officer) and relevant shore personnel (Operations and Odfjell’s Business Engagement Team).
• Processes operational alerts triggered via Centralized Alert Dashboard and miscellaneous platforms revealing quality concerns in IMOS, AoL and Port Log. Structures focus according to set priorities and handles alerts according to established workflow procedures.
• Distributes Emission Report to Charterers for customers not accepting digital records using the template produced by Manager, Fleet Performance.
• Identifies energy efficiency concerns. e.g., high consumption cases and technical problems limiting vessels’ performance and shares findings with Fleet Performance Analyst for his/her further action.
• Ensures that the Terminal Book reflects new terminal/berth information based on requests/data received.
• Saves all End of Sea Voyage (EOSV) reports from Storm Geo. Validates the information included in the report and contacts Fleet Performance in Bergen if the Storm Geo data is incorrect. Updates information when reports are received.
• Reviews NavTracker positions to identify non-reporting vessels and cases of non-reported off-hire or unscheduled stops.
• Keeps track of fleet technical and operational status, missing AoLs and Port Log events, pending alerts, and computed savings, pending confirmation from stakeholders
• Ensures that all files and systems such as relevant electronic systems, hard copy files and tasks in Docmap are updated and ready for handover before relocation of team members, including leaving the company
• Assists FPA Manila in testing new software deliveries and updates.
