Software QA Engineer

iLathys is a Singapore based company handling implementation and management of multiple SaaS platforms for different industries: video advertising, aeronautics, productivity apps for retail and distribution for more than 10 years

We are looking for a smart and engaged QA Engineer who can help us keep our SaaS platforms running smoothly and fulfilling our promise of delivering the best experience for our clients and users.

Working on different platforms, this role will be dynamic and challenging and we are looking for the right individual that can think on their feet, is willing to learn new industry-specific processes and really embraces new challenges as they come along.

This is a remote work opportunity and we are supporting clients worldwide with a diverse team from the Philippines and Singapore.

You will be working with the team to:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Liaise with the team to Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance for clients and users
• Actively test and verify (new) functionalities and acceptance criteria for web and mobile solutions
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and document test cases
• Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
• Report and track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
• Help define, implement and drive adoption of QA best practices and processes.
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience

You know you’re the right fit if:

• You have 2+ years experience as a QA engineer for a SaaS platforms
• You have BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• You are accurate, rigorous and data-driven
• You are familiar with JIRA and Agile methodology
• You have a strong willingness to learn and keep up to date with trends, best practices and improve skills continuously
• You have a clear and accurate written and verbal communication skill in English language
• You can work independently and as a team player
• You have a fast and reliable internet connection

Nice to have:

• High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages such as MySQL, PHP and scripting
• Experience in automation testing for SaaS platforms.
• Experience in security testing/performance testing
