Due to increasing demand for our services, we are hiring Accounting Team Lead! If you are an Accountant with a passion for working with fast-growing high-tech startups, if you want to enhance your knowledge and skills as a team leader, come and join our team of accounting and financial professionals.

The airCFO International Team is responsible for the timely complete and accurate accounting and financial deliveries every day. As the Accounting Team Lead, they will not hold or maintain client relationships of their own. Instead, they will aim to serve three managerial functions to assist in the overall success of the team:
Talent Recruiting and Management: Lead the recruiting, onboarding, training, and day-to-day managing of the team; assist team members in becoming independent and autonomous in their day-to-day work.
Maintain Operational Excellence: Lead the creating, implementing, and optimizing of standard accounting operation procedures; assist team members in becoming more efficient and consistently high-quality in their day-to-day work.
Be a Trusted Business Partner: Act as the key liaison between airCFO International and airCFO US on strategic and operational matters, assist in the achievement of the team’s strategic goals.

General day to day responsibilities:

Assist in recruiting, lead the onboarding and training of new hires, and assist new hires in learning all Accounting Tools and airCFO’s policies and procedures;
Ensure new hires understand their performance goals and have a clear understanding of how to achieve them;
Lead day-to-day supervision of the team; assist team members in becoming autonomous and efficient in their day-to-day work;
Create, implement, and optimize standard accounting operation procedures & identify and pursue process efficiency opportunities;
Hold weekly team meetings and 1:1’s, check-in with the team on timely completeness and accuracy of financial deliveries;
Conduct performance evaluation of the team and support the career development of the team members;
Act as the key liaison between airCFO International and airCFO US on strategic and operational matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Accounting or Finance preferred
CPA designation + two years of Accounting Team Lead experience
Familiarity with US GAAP and basic accounting principles
Solid working knowledge in QuickBooks/Xero, and various small business software, like Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, and more
Demonstrated project management and client relationship management skills
Proven ability to manage relationships, engage with other team members, and willingness to step in when needed
Experience building and maintaining standard operations processes is a bonus
Experience managing a distributed team is a bonus
