Summary of Position Description
• Virtually located (Work from home) in Southeast Asia or in Singapore
• The position reports to the head of research
• Searching for talented individual/executive with intelligence, insights, expertise and experience in conducting research in the areas of: new and existing technologies; markets and companies, financial information and legal and regulatory information.
• Requirements are: 1) High level of intelligence; 2) Ability to read, analyze and organize information quickly; 3) organize, write and summarize information quickly; 4) excellent Wi-Fi, internet environment such that working virtually is possible; Ability to work well as a team. Speaking well is not a requirement.
Background
1Derlife Growth is a new Search Fund/Small Acquisition Fund based in Singapore. The purpose of the fund is a short-term series of acquisitions in targeted and pre-defined industries within Singapore and Southeast Asia region. 1Derlife Growth is an investment project seeking multiple small companies to acquire within a 24-month period and then actively managed over 3-5 years to scale in revenue and value. The principle is an experienced operator in Singapore, Southeast Asia, Korea and in the U.S. 1DERLIFE Growth has a ‘VF1’ Team that stands for Virtual, Flexible, 1Derlife team, that can work virtually and flexibly across different businesses. The company is searching for talented individuals that are flexible and high energy to deliver results for the umbrella fund company as well as the companies that have been acquired or are in the process of being acquired.
What is a Search Fund?
A search fund is a niche private equity model that was conceived in 1984, by Professor Irving Groesbeck in Stanford University. Since then, the Search Fund segment/industry has grown significantly due to the likelihood of finding an acquisition target and value creation.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting online research in the various fields related to 1DERLIFE Growth businesses. The role will be a hands-on research role, with or without assistants.

Requirements and Preferred Credentials:
1. Exceptional Intelligence
a. Highly intelligent individual who can process information quickly
b. Problem solver who understands what needs to be researched and not just a information gatherer
c. Degree/s in science, math, statistics, computer science (hard sciences and math) degrees from the best schools preferred but not mandatory
2. Familiarity OR Comfort with these fields/areas of information.
a. The candidate must be comfortable with these subjects
i. Electric and autonomous cars
ii. Software and hardware topics
iii. Market, category and segment information
v. Legal/regulatory information
vi. Financial information
3. Internet/ Digital Tools and Technology Savvy
a. Must have excellent internet/Wi-Fi.
b. Exceptional in conducting internet research
c. Research tools knowledge is a plus but not a must
4. Highly organized – must help the company keep information organized
a. Must not be disorganized
b. Must help the company organize information
5. Work experience is preferred but it is not necessary

Compensation:
