Business Development Manager Assistant
Job Purpose:
The Seal Shield Business Manager’s Assistant is the communicator, project manager, and admin to the Business Development Manager. This person’s sole responsibility is to put all of the thoughts, ideas, and grand plans of the Business Development Manager into action. This person is a master communicator (i.e. drafting
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drafts and proofs all written communications
• Ensures timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives on behalf of the Business Development Manager
• Supports the Business Development Manager in meetings by taking notes and taking responsibility for ensuring the completion of action items.
• Assists the Business Development Manager with corporate responsibilities, helps manage and prioritize the Business Development Manager’s focal areas, time, and schedule; ensures the Business Development Manager’s time is best expended for the good of the business.
• Assists the Business Development Manager in directly engaging with Seal Shield’s people at all and supports the Business Development Manager’s role in the development and evolution of Seal Shield’s people-?rst culture.
• Represents the Business Development Manager and acts as the liaison between the Business Development Manager and internal and external stakeholders ensuring the Business Development Manager’s involvement and/or decision-making at the proper time.
• Helps create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
• This person will handle all IT system-related tasks for the Business Development Manager (entering expense reports, updating projects, placing orders, etc…)
• Challenges the Business Development Manager’s thinking in helping to protect and evolve the business in meeting the best interests of Seal Shield’s people and clients.
Qualifications
Soft Skills
• Extremely strong English listening, writing, and speaking skills
• An acute attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively while handling multiple prioritized issues
• Analytical and problem-solving skills a must.
Hard Skills
• Proficient with MS Office Apps Word and Outlook
• Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel
• Very clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to analyze, model, and interpret data via dictation,
Experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, creative writing, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience executing successful project coordination
• Previous experience supporting executives or directors
• Legal assistant or paralegal experience a MEGA plus.
• Project Management certification strongly preferred
Working Conditions
This is a remote position that is expected to work 8:00 AM EST – 6:00 PM EST Monday – Friday
