Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Solving complex user experience and interface pattern problems.
• Collaboration with design and engineering teams on product design and architecture.
• Creating production deliverables, such as IA documentation, Wireframes and interactive storyboards.
• Conducting and analysing user research
• Conducting product review and providing feedback to the design and engineering teams.
• Ability to independently travel throughout Sydney and interstate (where necessary) for client meetings and workshops.
Qualifications:
• Strong visual design skills that can be demonstrated in a portfolio of work.
• 4-5 years’ experience in UI/UX Design
• Understands the value of best-practice design conventions to the point where they know when conventions can be broken.
• High intellectual agility, can quickly learn, adapt, and articulate
• Verbal English skills
• Written English must be free of grammatical error and well-constructed.
Software:
• Wireframe Tools (Balsamiq Mockups, Axure etc)
• Photoshop or Sketch
• MS Word and PowerPoint
• Google Mail and Drive
• HTML, CSS & JavaScript Skills (optional, but desired)
Professional Capabilities:
• Capable of breaking a solution down to give accurate commercial estimates for their work.
• Can commit and manage their time to deadlines.
• Can confidently explain and sell design decisions and how they relate to product requirements.
• Conduct focus group sessions to uncover client and end-user needs.
• Perform data-driven research, collate and present findings.
• Use data analysis to inform design decisions.
• Production of high quality, well-constructed wireframes and prototypes.
• Can demonstrate a desire to grow, evolve and develop as a professional.
