Turfgrass and Garden Advisor

Summary:
Turfgrass and Garden advisor role at Custom Simple Solutions, LLC work with the creative roles at the company to be the subject matter expert for content relating to Turfgrass and gardening. The content will include nutrients, soil/media, fertilizer, Turfgrass, and plants. Remote position.

Duties:
- Work with the design team to create and maintain lawn care plans for cool-season and warm-season lawns with our products and for lawn establishment.
- Create and maintain employee training/education programs.
- Proofread and edit lawn care blog posts.
- Coordinate with University scientists for conducting product studies.
- Review, summarize and present studies as sources of info for content for the marketing team.
- Research for and Write presentations for short videos 3-10 minutes to educate customers in the turfgrass community.
- Be an on-camera representative for the companies to teach and explain academic and higher-level concepts to lay viewers.


Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in plant science or related field (Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, Soil Science, etc.)
-2 years experience working in a field related to plant/turfgrass

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of the science of plant/turfgrass nutrition and maintenance
Strong experience with fertilizers and other lawn and garden products
Ability to easily decipher research papers relating to plant science
Ability to ensure deliverables are met within assigned deadlines
Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and oral)
Comfort with being and presenting in front of a camera and operating camera ---------- lf-starter who is able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
