Web Developer

We're looking for a self-motivated individual that wants to take charge and share in the success of the company by helping create a beautifully designed web experience for users, continuously improving the software.

We are looking for someone who can create the client-side code behind leading brand websites, fully-featured web applications and large marketing initiatives. From responsive websites to HTML5 presentations for iOS, we’re looking for developers who can help us stand out in the crowd.

The position will be Part-time to start with a view to Full-time within 3- 6 months.

We are looking for someone who believes in the value of this company and is looking to build something with a great team that will disrupt the industry. You will need to have a future outlook as performance-based share options are part of the right candidate's long-term remuneration.

We are looking for someone who is willing and able to travel immediately for a condensed development session with the team. You must be able to travel for an extended period of time in excess of 4 weeks.

Responsibilities:

- Develops custom web pages and sites.
- Develops cross-platform desktop, mobile and/or responsive web sites.
- May need to develop cross platform mobile responsive emails.
- Accurately translate designs from creative department to HTML/CSS.
- Assess new technologies.
- Operates independently or as a member of a team as appropriate for individual projects.

Education: Post Secondary Education in Software/Programming Technology is an asset, however, natural talent and self-taught will be considered.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years developing HTML-based web content.
- Proven experience in graphic design.
- Extensive experience with modern HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Applied knowledge of mobile development best practices.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team orientation and solid interpersonal skills.

Please provide a portfolio of your experience and/or past projects. You must be able to manage Wordpress platforms and implement new features. Some experience in PHP programming is required. Must have an understanding of SEO. Basic server management knowledge. Data migration, data formatting/manipulation & batch processing for uploading products.- Excellent writing and grammar skills, strong content writing ability.
