One morning, an elderly man was walking along the beach when he noticed a young boy picking something off the sand and throwing it into the sea.
As he got closer, the man realized the child was throwing stranded starfishes that had washed up on the shore back into the breaking waves.
Approaching the boy, the man asked what he was doing.
“The starfish will die if they’re still on the shore when the sun rises,” he replied.
Perplexed, the old man said, “But that’s pointless! There are countless miles of beach and thousands of ---------- doesn’t matter how many you return to the water, you can’t make a difference.”
Unfazed, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and tossed it into the sea.
“It matters to this one,” he said.

Core Role:
The Sales Development Rep will be responsible for operating the sales system which includes prospecting through the company’s lead generation channels and closing deals over email and social media messaging. A key priority of this role will be initiating the conversations with potential customers and making sure each new prospect is the right fit and if so, you pass them over into a sales call with the sales closer.

You will get access to:

A database of leads that are 4+ months old to connect with.
You will be able to instantly connect with HOT leads in Facebook Messenger and email.
You will be able to generate referrals from former ---------- pressure tactics or slimy sales methods. That’s not us. We are more focused on social selling, finding who is most interested now, and if not interested at this time, then building a relationship that will transition to a sale within 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:
Creating authority-building content to post in company’s lead generation channels (for example, a Facebook group)
Reaching out to potential prospects personalized messages (we will provide templates)
Researching prospects to build relationships with and scraping their contact details
Following up with prospects and re-engaging when they don’t respond or ghost us
Requesting and setting up meetings with high quality leads
Following up with potential prospects to check in, continue engaging the relationship, sharing new resources that we created, and offering to meet on a call again
Working with the marketing team to provide feedback that will improve messaging and positioning and make the job easier for you
Managing and tracking data in the company’s CRM software and KPI Dashboard
Creating new sales processes or making improvements to current systems (b/c this is a team effort)

Understand the order of consequences (If I eat this cookie now, I’ll enjoy it now, but I’ll get unhealthy later… VS If I workout now, it’ll suck right now, but then I’ll get healthy later) and is able to resist instant gratification.
Very analytical and into numbers & spreadsheets. Loves taking detailed notes on prospects, documenting data, and looking at graphs to understand how to improve sales numbers.
Great memory and attention to detail. Quick to follow up and remind others.
Exceptional customer service skills and can solve any problem thrown at ---------- lf-starter. Doesn’t need hand holding and can figure things out. If something is broken, they’re the first to fix it and make it better instead of waiting around for someone else to do it.
Asks a lot of questions. Extremely curious about how things work. Wants to understand people at a deeper level.

Salary & Benefits:
Hourly pay + commission: This is all incentive based - the more you start conversations, the more of a possibility that it will close, which means more money you make.
You can work from home, while you travel, completely remote. Our entire team is remote.
You won’t be picking up the phone and doing cold sales calls. You will perform more digital outreach and emails and the conversation will be handled by the sales closer. This way you can get more volume in with people who expressed interest.
