Experienced Layout Designer Needed for Newspaper

We are looking for a designer to layout one of our print newspapers. The job mostly involves laying out the article text and photos, inserting ads and making sure that each page looks nice.

Responsibilities will include:
• Laying out articles & photos.
• Laying out classified ads, open house table, community announcements etc
• Inserting ads
• Making sure that each page looks nice

Required Qualifications Include:
• A good eye for detail
• Experience laying out print publications
• Experience using InDesign
• Speaks & understands English well
• Works well with deadlines and understands priorities
• Excellent communication skills

This is a full time job working US eastern standard time hours. Typical hours are 9am – 7pm EST.

Pay is $500 - $1,500 depending on experience and other factors.
1-2 years experience will get paid $500-$800 / month
3-5 years experience will get paid $800 - $1,200 / month
5+ years experience will get paid $1,000 - $1,500 / month
