At Climate Guardians we build a fun decentralized mobile game for a noble cause. Players defend the Amazon rainforest in the digital sphere - with a positive real world impact on our Climate.

We are looking for an experienced game designer to join our team to direct our development to land a hit.


Your responsibilities will include:


- Managing all of the creative aspects of making a game from pitching to rapid prototyping, from pre-production to launch and beyond


- Creating the necessary supporting documents that describe gameplay designs and features that can be used as reference by the development team


- Collaborating closely with the art team to ensure that the visual representation of game ideas are realized according design specifications


- Collaborating closely with the programming team to ensure that the necessary features are supported and technically feasible


- Collaborating with the rest of the development team including but not limited to production and audio to ensure alignment with common goals


- Analyzing user feedback and social metrics to adjust gameplay and design to continuously push the game to its best version


- Staying up to date with the latest NFT/WEB3 gaming trends and integrating these into our own game when applicable Key Requirements:


- You have at least 5 years prior experience as a Game Designer with a strong portfolio of sample projects


- You possess a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the games industry and game design (learning curve, directing the player, difficulty levels, balancing, pacing, motivation & reward cycle, accessibility, monetization)


- You are passionate about playing games across multiple genres


- You are knowledgeable with WEB3 and NFT games and the current crypto gaming trends


- You are proficient in using Unity for prototyping and creating levels for mobile games


- You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions


- You are a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
