Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description:

The Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of the Lock Softwares development team who is responsible for testing the pilot software named “Lock Softwares Business Suite” and future systems of the company.


Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years to 3.5 years work experience in application/web programming or system testing role or any equivalent software quality assurance role
• Knowledgeable and familiar with any open source or commercial development platforms such as but not limited to PHP, Postgres SQL, MySQL, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Visual Studio.Net Technology, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and any other high-end RDMBS in the market today
• Accustomed with Application Support and Maintenance
• With exposure to 3-tiered application and test driven application development
• Ability to quickly master new technologies
• Must have a good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent in interpersonal skills working in a team environment
• Excellent in written and verbal communication skills in English

Remarks and Justifications:

The incoming staff who will take the role of Sr. SQA Test Engineer will help the Lock Softwares development team to conduct all levels of software quality assurance testing activities of “Lock Softwares Business Suite”.
He/she will ensure that the required testing stages will be religiously adhered as our core based justifying factor to release high quality of applications, modules and software products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Writes test plans for new or existing product/application/module features
• Designs and implements (Level 1) automated, smoke and functionality testing (Level 2) usability, UI and compatibility testing, (Level 3) stress, system and regression testing
• Specifies testing methods for software/application release
• Reports software/application bugs
• Simulates problems/issues reported by customers/users/stakeholders and apply applicable fixes
• Verifies software/application bugs reported by development team
• Recommends product/software/application improvement
