Medical Billing and Credentialing Specialist

Our company is a multi-service home health clinic. We provide a variety of different medical services and therapies to patients in their home. Our business model is unique in the wide variety of services we seek to provide. Our goal is to revolutionize the home health industry and provide exceptional quality of care to our patients that improves their overall quality of life.

We are looking to hire a VA who has significant experience in medical billing and credentialing. We are easy people to work with and we value loyalty, hard work, and someone who will challenge our organization to be better.

Daily duties will include:
- Medical billing. You will track and review encounters in our EHR system from the previous day and prepare the records for submittal to insurance. We work with a variety of different insurance companies and we expect our ideal candidate to have experience in working with insurance companies including Medicare/Medicaid.
- Medical billing will also include reviewing submittals that were rejected and doing the necessary work to get the claims cleaned up so that they can be re-submitted.
- Credentialing. We are regularly hiring new providers (doctors, nurses, therapists, etc.) to our team and we need someone who is familiar with the process of credentialing providers with insurance payers.
- Communication with providers in the field to get clarification on visits they have performed prior to submitting to insurance company.
- Projects and assignments from owners and practice administrator, as assigned.

Ideally we would like this employee to work on our working schedule (USA Mountain Time), though we can be flexible with this requirement for the right candidate. Working on our time schedule simply allows us to communicate with our US based employees in a more timely and efficient manner.

This is a salaried position with the wage posted below. Additionally, we will pay for the cost of your high speed internet at your home (provided the service meets certain speed and reliability requirements). This will be discussed during the hiring process. We also have a bonus program in place to incentivize you for performance and accuracy. The better we do, the better you do!

Employee will need to provide a reliable computer. Most of our software is web based.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years working in medical billing
- Minimum 3 years experience working in medical credentialing
- Proficiency with Google Workspace platform (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Previous experience with Kareo EHR is highly preferred, though not a requirement. Please indicate in your application if you have used Kareo previously and in what capacity.
- High ID Proof score required due to the sensitive nature of working with medical records.
