Video Editor for Marketing Tutorials (Final Cut Pro)

Hey, I'm Max!

I publish marketing automation tutorials on YouTube every week, and I'm looking for a video editor that can take the editing part off my hands.

It's 1 or 2 tutorials a week, they are 5 to 20 minutes longs, and most of them are a combination of talking head & screen recordings :-)

I think it will take you 10 to 20 hours a week, and you can work whenever you want. It's very flexible as long the video is done within 7 days.

- Good at communicating through email & zoom.
- Proficient with Final Cut Pro
- Very organised.
- Able to start in January.
- Fast internet speed (files are huge).
- Take initiative & come up with ideas to make the videos better.
- Hate stiff office stuff & love to be personal.

EDITTING:

This is what the editing process would look like for most videos:

- Sync footage from different sources.
- Remove any mistakes from the video & make smooth transitions.
- Switch from the screen recording to the talking head when I talk into the camera.
- Add titles, images that slide in, some sound effects here and there.
- Improve the audio & make sure the audio levels are roughly between -6dB and -12dB.
- Upload the final video & library file to Google Drive.
- Make any changes after my feedback if necessary.

The videos have these technical requirements;
- Resolution: 3840x2160
- Frame rate: 25fps
- Codec: Apple ProRes 422
- Color space: Rec. 601 (PAL)

APPLYING:

Overall it's most important that you communicate well & can turn the materials into a smooth video, without too many obvious cuts, within 7 calendar days.

When applying;
- Only apply if you have experience with Final Cut Pro, as that would make working together much easier.
- Send examples of your previous work.
- Are you comfortable communicating through zoom sometimes?
- Tell me a bit about how you got into video editing.
