Layout Artist (Print Publication)

We are looking for a designer to layout one of our print newspapers. The job mostly involves laying out the article text and photos, inserting ads and making sure that each page of the paper looks nice.

Responsibilities will include:
- Laying out articles and photos
- Laying out classified ads, open house table, community announcements etc
- Inserting ads
- Making sure that each page of the paper looks nice

Requirements
- A good eye for detail
- Experience laying out print publications
- Experience using InDesign
- Speaks and writes English well
- Works well with deadlines and understands priorities
- Excellent communication skills

Hours:
This is a full-time position with working hours from 9 am - 6 pm in the Eastern Standard Time zone. But if there are deadlines coming up more hours may be required.
