Our fun, hardworking company is looking for an organized, responsible tea
You will need great English skills, but you will not be required to talk to customers or vendors on the phone.
You will be required to categorize and enter transactions into GNUCash and run monthly reports consistently and accurately.
This is an hourly position with the expectation that you will work a block of hours in December to get the system set up and run end-of-year
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping is required. Experience with setting up and using GnuCash will be helpful but is not required. You will need to have a good computer and a fast reliable internet connection. You will be expected to learn quickly, take notes, and document systems so they can be repeated consistently. You will need to be ok with some tasks that will be done the same way week, and month, as well as other tasks that are short-term.
This job will require you to be self-motivated and to work
This is a position with potential for growth as our team’s needs change and develop over time.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Background in bookkeeping and accounting required
- Knowledge of setting up and using the GnuCash Accounting software helpful
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and an ability to learn the company’s systems
- Ability to plan, implement, and succeed at weekly, monthly, and yearly goals
- Accurate and proficient in dealing with data and numbers
- Ability to work and get a lot done with little supervision
Daily Task List (including but not limited to):
- Weekly check-in with supervisor, Howard Goff
- Setting up initial accounting file and entering transactions from this year
- Entering new transactions on a weekly basis
