YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a YouTube Video Editor, you'll create high-quality, engaging videos for our channel.

Your specific responsibilities include:

- Creating a YouTube-ready video from raw A-roll footage of a host presenting to camera, a script outlining the video's structure, and adding B-roll & graphics.
- Incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary.
- Deliver an engaging video in a timely manner.

ABOUT YOU

Here’s what our ideal candidate looks like:

- You have a clear feel for what content is engaging and successful on YouTube. The platform is very competitive, and videos must be engaging in a YouTube-specific way - namely, it feels like someone you know sharing your life, not like a college lecture.
- You can take raw footage and turn it into gold. Take basic A-roll, add B-roll and graphics, make smart editing choices, and end up with a high-quality work product.
- You're a clear thinker and communicator in the work product. Our content will be entertaining but still has an educational goal. You'll need to edit to strike this balance well and make sure viewers leave with the key takeaways.
- You’re organized. You have a system for keeping track of assets and work, and you minimize the chaos in your workflow.
- You're a versatile editor. You can create for platforms other than YouTube like TikTok and Instagram. You can evolve with the channel as we scale and branch into other types of content.
