I. You will define the project’s requirements.
II. You will meet clients and understand their objectives and vision for the product. You will capture necessary information including:
- Their current process
- Their pain points and problems
- What they want us to do
- What is expected of the product
- Their initial requirements
III. In gathering requirements, you will:
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and needs.
- Go over existing documentations or systems that will be essential in creating the solution
- Attend needs assessment discussions with the client and scoping team
- Once you’ve gathered everything, you will analyze these requirements for finalization. These tasks are crucial:
- Mapping out project dependencies
- Identifying constraints and risks for each requirement
- Ensuring that everything is aligned with business objectives
- Conducting necessary research to validate solutions
IV. Lastly, you will finalize the requirements by:
- Translating all business, user, stakeholder, and technical requirements to a clear, complete, concise, and readable requirements document.
- Assisting the solutions team in crafting solutions based on the requirements
- Discussing some proposed features to the client if necessary
- Revising requirements based on feedback and assess affected features if necessary
- You will manage the requirements during the development.
- Using requirements elicitation techniques, you need to gather the client’s requirements and validate functional specifications which are crucial to the development.
- You will guide the Product Owners in crafting and refining user stories and good acceptance criteria, as well as maintaining them as requirements are prioritized.
- You will attend backlog refinement sessions to align requirements with designers, QEs, and client
- You will participate in Scrum events and meetings on tech implementations where business requirement support is needed
- You will manage and control changes made/requested to requirements
- You will work with other Business Analysts to continuously improve the requirements management process of White Cloak.
Skills and Qualifications:
You must be a graduate of any Bachelor's Degree, preferably Computer Science or Information Technology with:
- At least two years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Software industry
- Solid background in requirements management of software products
- Experience in Agile implementation
- Excellent soft skills like Communication, Professionalism, Time management, Organization, Detail-orientedness, Focus, grit,
tact, Leadership, and Initiative to learn and improve quality of work.
