Senior Software Developer

Area Ten is a successful marketing technology company that is focused on building and enhancing a variety of software to help our clients make more money online. Due to growth we are looking for top performers to join our existing team.

This is a hands on role, if you've only been managing a team in the past year don't bother applying. If you are only interested in managing a team, also don't bother applying as we want people who are experts in execution.

Beyond at least 5 years hands-on experience candidates must have a solid grasp of at least 3 of the following bullet points in addition to the Must Have points at the end:

* PHP (webservices REST/SOAP), wordpress theming and plugin development, solid understanding of regular expression. Familiarity with the following technologies (Code Igniter, Symfony, Dispatch, Laravel, CakePHP, Silex).

* Nodejs (webservices REST/SOAP), advanced understanding of object oriented javascript. Familiarity with the following technologies (ExpressJS, jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Handlebars, KnockoutJS).

* PERL, platform development, device interfacing, solid understanding of regular expression. Familiarity with the following technologies (Dancer, Domain Profiling tools).

* Bash/Expect TCL, service automation. Has a solid understanding of Database queries and replication.

* AppleScript/VBScript, desktop automation for Windows and OSX.

* Ability to setup, manage and maintain webservers, databases, dns, proxy servers, firewalls, RDP desktops, virtual machines and google app engines.

Must have:
* Has a good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, and can work in an Agile environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* expertise in HTML and CSS
