Data Analyst Using Real Estate API

Mashvisor is a real estate data analytics company which helps investors find the most profitable traditional and Airbnb rental properties in the US market.

We are looking for a freelance data analyst to create a model to analyze trends in our real estate data by connecting to our API (you will be provided with an API key).

For this first assignment we’d like you to analyze and present the changes in the Airbnb rental rates in the US market over the last 12 months. A few important data points:
What has happened to the average/median Airbnb daily rate across the US?
Which regions or states have witnessed the biggest increase and decrease?
Which cities have witnessed the biggest increase and decrease?

We will provide you with access to our API which has all the data that you need in order to conduct this analysis. You will be expected to clean the data, analyze it, and present the most important findings and trends. The data points above are just starting points, you are expected to suggest other noteworthy trends as well. You are expected to present the methodology that you’ve used and explain why you’ve used this methodology. The methodology has to be scientifically robust.
