Description of Role

Future Firm is looking for a front end and back end Wordpress Web Developer to work directly with the company’s Founder to support him in executing the company’s vision.

The ideal candidate will quarterback the maintenance, improvement and security of the company’s membership website based on several Wordpress plugins, including Buddyboss & Memberpress.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and improve the company’s Wordpress websites
- Promptly fix any bugs that impact member experience and/or website security
- Develop custom code and design new functionality into the Wordpress site to improve member experience and member engagement
- Bring new ideas to the table to improve UI and UX and execute on those ideas
- Maintain and upgrade the staging and production environments
- Work with external graphic designers when/if needed
- Liaising with the company’s members and/or 3rd party apps to understand and troubleshoot any website technology issues

Requirements

- 5+ years of Wordpress web development experience (front end + back end)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP
- You are resourceful and can single-handedly solve problems that arise
- Strong software troubleshooting skills
- You are organized and can prioritize your work to ensure deadlines are met
- Able to meet once a week for a brief meeting in the evening
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
