DATA ENGINEER

Data engineers are responsible for finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. This IT role requires a significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL database design and multiple programming languages. But data engineers also need communication skills to work across departments to understand what business leaders want to gain from the company’s large datasets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be flexible
Must have honed your SQL skills since you are continually modeling, structuring, and manipulating data
Focuses on BI work and modeling and not software ---------- that case, you will be the more traditional data engineer who moves data from point A to point B. You will be concerned with data warehousing, ETLs, ELTs, and data lakes.
Has good communication skills, collaborative and presentation skills
Has at least 4 yrs experience as a Data Engineer
