Sr PHP Web Developer II

Position Title: Lead Developer CKA & Boutiques.
Reporting to: Director of Sales
Hours: Monday to Friday
9am - 5.30pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time), 1-hour lunch

Requirements:

Stable Internet Access
Ability to have a company supplied voIP Telephone connected and active on the work desk.
Hours tracked via TimeDoctor or similar
Ability to be contacted via Phone and SMS/Messenger.

Programming Experience:
Primary language PHP and MySQL for database
Must be experienced in using MVC frameworks (Kohana is a plus)
Has expertise in HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript/JQuery programming, and Cross Browser compatibilities such as Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, and mobile devices
Must be experienced with GIT/Bitbucket including setting up repos on servers.
Must be experienced in deploying the project on dedicated cloud servers without CPanel via SSH.
Knowledge of SEO is a plus
Ability to work with APIs is a must, (we use MailChimp, Mandrill, Chargebee, google map API)
A new junior coder will be added to the team within a few months, and must have the ability to guide and manage new coders.
Is willing to learn new things and can easily be trained in other skills

If working from home can work from home without distractions
Must be on Windows and using WampServer for development

Liaise with DoS on new projects and website features.
Ability to break down and write a detailed specification of tasks required to roll out new projects or features.
Manage the progress and provide weekly updates on the progression of the project.

Main company e-commerce webapp built on native PHP. Uses PHP Version 5.6.31 and 5.5.56-MariaDB. Both NZ and AU sites run on a single codebase, contents changes based on the domain being used. Project is composed of two sub-projects, FE (Front-end) and GS (Back-end). Both of these sub-projects have their own code repository but resides on a single directory when deployed.

Ckeys project have two main data, CKI and CKA data. CKI’s are our partner hotels (residences) and they manage their data using backend with provide for them. CKA’s are apartments that is managed by our staff through GS.

Main Backend for our Partner hotels (Residences). This is where they manage their own listings, see reports, etc. This webapp was built on Kohana v.3 (Discontinued).


Multi/Mini Hotel Site

Multiple domain webapp running on a single codebase. This project was built on Laravel 5.2. We have two types of setup available, single location, and multi-location (ie: Manhattan apartments). Single location sites are basically a single building only site for a single domain. Multi-location site involves having a specific building as a main location and other building as other locations. Contents greatly change between this two setup even though they run on a single codebase.

Hospital Stays and HPS (Hotel Repository Service)

Webapp that provides nearby hotels or accommodation to hospitals all throughout Australia. Hospitalstays and HPS are both built on Laravel 5.2. This was initially a single project but then we decided to extract all data processing into a REST Based API system called as HPS. Main purpose is to be able to provide a single data provider for hotel and location information. HPS strongly rely on live scraping booking.com for availability and rates hence a single change on booking.com’s layout can cause major issues on HPS scraping logic.

Pets on Holidays

A webapp that was intended for pet accommodations and directory of pet related services. Project was built on Laravel 5.4. This project was on-hold and was never deployed live.
