Junior Content Writer

Straits Interactive is looking for a Junior Content Writer who can produce and assist in the creation of a variety of informative content that highlights data protection news, trends, career development, consultancy, software/platforms and thought leadership.

The Writer will be responsible for researching topics and creating content for Straits websites, blogs, social media, marketing and PR communications, including written, video and infographic content. This includes developing or refreshing content, updating the in-house style guide, engaging with a community of members, and managing the editorial and social calendars.

Staying up to date with content marketing trends, earned and paid digital marketing strategies as well as the global data protection landscape will be vital to the Writer’s success in this role.

Responsibilities

? Researching and proposing fresh content ideas, including reviewing and responding to feedback from customers, members and others
? Implementing content development strategies
? Monitoring content performance and optimising for discovery and engagement
? Proofreading and editing content, in accordance with house style
? Supporting content marketing and community management strategies

Requirements

? Ability to write clean, concise and engaging content
? Ability to produce content quickly, on a daily basis
? Knowledge of data protection industry preferred
? Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles
? Native or near-native English language proficiency
