Python Developer

Responsibilities

• Working both individually and as part of a larger team to deliver high quality software solutions
• Assisting in developing our proprietary market-making trading system
• Building APIs and interfacing our systems with crypto software
• Creating ETL pipelines to support rapid data ingestion to be used for research and signal generation
• Developing Python scripts that validates data from multiple sources
• Configuring and developing dashboards for data analytics in Python
• Building unit tests and promoting continuous improvement throughout every stage of development
• Ongoing maintenance and support of components
• Ongoing evaluation and improvement of component effectiveness
• Automation of processed where necessary and appropriate
• Improving and adding to component documentation

Essential:
• 1 to 3 years professional experience as a Python Developer
• Proficient with a range of open-source frameworks and development tools e.g. NumPy/SciPy/Pandas, Sklearn, Spark, Jupyter, Dask
• Ability to work directly with end users without detailed formal specifications in an Agile environment
• Experience with REST and Websocket APIs
• Experience with UNIX command-line
• Experience with Git or similar source control solution
• Good appreciation of different programming paradigms (OO, Functional, Imperative)
• Solid problem-solving skills


Desirable:
• Have an interest in NFT gaming
• Willingness to dive into data-science and ML
• Quantitative/data analysis background
• Experience working with AWS (both via boto3 SDK as well as direct console access for services such as: EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager etc.)
• Experience in Java and/or C++/Rust (We don’t do much of either internally for now, but some systems require us to interface with third party libraries which are sometimes only available in Java or C++)
• Experience in any SQL language
• Experience in any front-end development such as React, JS
• Experience with data orchestration software such as Airfow, Prefect, or Dagster
• Familiarity with build automation, agile development, code review, and continuous integration and delivery tools, processes, and best practices
• Familiarity with QA (quality assurance) processes and best practices
