Health Network Research Assistant
Description
Our Health Network Researchers Assistants handle behind-the-scenes research and data analysis so a company's sales force can spend its time in the field generating revenue. Health Network Research involves discovering, analyzing and presenting data for our sales team. The researcher uses the Internet, public databases and other resources to gather information relevant to our prospects and customers. The information is shared with the salespeople who use it in the field to secure new business.
Duties
Our Health Network Research Assistants use proprietary tools to research a pre-determined list of prospects. Next, the assistant qualifies or disqualifies medical practices based on how well they fit our ideal customer model.
Work Environment
A sales researcher spends much of the day at a desk, working on a computer. Researchers needs to be at ease completing solitary, data-intensive tasks like research, analysis and documentation. Researchers usually have specific guidelines to adhere to and a manager available to provide general direction.
Personality
Since a researcher shares the data analyzed with the sales team, the researcher needs to be a skilled communicator who can make complicated material easy to understand. Researchers must be persistent, organized, meticulous and compliant.
Requirements
A master's degree in a health related field (health policy) is preferred. A bachelor's degree in a clinical related field (nursing) with extensive management and administrative experience is also acceptable. Experience in marketing, business or sales, is also preferred this research position.
Responsibilities
Use proprietary tools to research a pre-determined list of medical practices.
Qualify and disqualify medical practices based on how well they fit the ideal customer model.
Follow the steps outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
The researcher should be able to verify existing information on a medical practice’s: Name, Location, Specialty (Primary Care, cardiology, etc.), Number of physicians
The researcher should also be able to find new information on the practice’s: Website, Number of locations, Status as operating independently or owned by a hospital system, Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) status, Accountable Care Organization (ACO) participation, Executive director or practice manager - including name and contact information (phone number and email).
Populate all data into an organized spreadsheet.
Create a one page summary on the main information for each practice.
Populate sales tools with the information for selected practices to review further.
Regularly communicate with team members on status of progress.
Regularly push the information to customer relationship management software.
