JOB OVERVIEW

EcomBuilder is looking for an eCommerce Copywriter to join our Agency. This candidate will use data-driven copywriting techniques to support the growth of our client's brands through informative, conversion-driven content in the dropshipping space.

This position requires the skills of a professional writer who can communicate marketing-driven product communications in a relevant shopper-friendly language that infuses branded messaging with SEO keywords. A background in SEO is not a requirement, but the candidate will need to learn and understand the basics of the discipline.

As a copywriter, this position requires clear and practical communication and writing skills for application in cross-functional collaboration and the execution and presentation of branded creative copy.

Beyond providing branded romance copy, this position requires an understanding of the competitive eCommerce space and skills/techniques applied to researching and evaluating and best-in-class content of online retailers. The eCommerce Copywriter will leverage available assets such as client-supplied marketing copy, product packaging, demo videos, sales sheets, and more to develop strategic and compelling branded content.

What You'll Do In This Role:

Translate creative direction and communication points into engaging and effective content in the eCommerce space.
Collaborate with product managers, brand strategists, digital marketers, and designers to ensure copy voice, tone and style are consistent with brand guidelines and support visual creativity.
Write English copy for online retailers, digital communications, landing pages, advertising, and media.
Research and collect data to better inform your copywriting strategy and understanding of the consumer decision tree for our client's ---------- velop and document a tone of voice for global marketing copy in English.
Proofread and correct English copy produced within the Creative Services team
Collaborate with copy editors to QA and edit copy before publication
Collaborate with conversion optimization and SEO experts to improve copywriting and search
Communicate CPG features & benefits in clear and concise ways to a shopper audience
Present work to clients along with strategic and creative insights and rationale.

How You'll Stand Out:

Experience writing copy for consumer packaged goods. Knowledge and expertise of the digital shelf are a plus.
Knowledge of eCommerce best practices regarding content strategy, user experience, and SEO.
Experience developing PDP content for retailer websites and direct-to-consumer eCommerce experiences.
An understanding of buyer personas and conversion-focused copywriting techniques.
