About The Candidate

I am looking for the following qualities from a candidate:

- Good spoken and written English so that we can communicate easily
- Clear communication through problem solving issues
- Proactive approach with opportunities to improve processes and techniques
- Somebody who manages their time well and raises issues in advance of them becoming problems
- Somebody with agency experience (preferably with an English speaking agency - UK/USA/Australia)
- Somebody with at least 5 years WordPress experience

You should also:

- Have good reliable internet connection
- Be available for Zoom meetings
- Respond promptly where possible

About the Role

Specifically this role will carry the following responsibilities:

- Developing WordPress websites from previous templates or from PSD designs
- Managing websites on the companies servers
- Liaising with clients via email
- Having fun and being part of a team within a growing business

Core Experience

- WordPress
-- Theme’s we use:
--- Enfold
--- Divi
--- Flatsome
--- Avada
--- Oxygen App (this is our choice for all new sites)
- Hosting using Siteground, Cloudways with Cloudflare
- Plugins (we use many, but specifically)
-- WPMUDEV
- Optimisation for SEO
-- Can optimise page speeds so GTMetrix score is a minimum score of B
-- Knows how to optimise next gen images and mark them up correctly
-- Understands schematic markup
- CSS, HTML, Java (all the usual knowledge that is needed)

Other

For me, verbal and written communication is very important. Additionally, there may be a requirement for communication directly with the client.

We use a collaborative project management tool that tracks activities, time and email communications.

The process will be to arrange a Zoom video conferencing meeting.
