Company Overview:
We are a forward-thinking consulting firm (San Francisco, CA USA) providing modern solutions to businesses from start-up to long established companies across multiple industries. Our focus is to provide customize support with the goal of taking care of the stresses in accounting and running a business so the business owners will be able to get their focus back to their craft. Our firm is looking for an applicant to fill our full-time CPA/accountant/bookkeeper position. This position requires prospective candidate to be working solely with our firm and no other work commitments. Please DO NOT apply if you are a freelancers, contractors or companies.

The candidate must have an accounting major and must know US GAAP rules. Job duties include working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure compliance, process accounts payable/receivable, prepare invoices, maintain the books and coordinate and schedule tax payments.

Our ideal candidate is an expert with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and is proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. To be successful in this role it is essential to learn quickly, have a high attention to detail, produce work with a high level of accuracy, communicate professionally, and show a positive attitude. You also must be an open-minded team player with initiative and enthusiasm. The individual should demonstrate the ability to think strategically in problem solving.

Responsibilities:
The candidate should be able to work on accounting/bookkeeping activities independently. Other main responsibilities include:
• Perform month, quarter, and year end close processes and activities, including the preparation of journal entries,
reconciliations, flux analyses and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Solid understanding of payable/receivable principles and accrual and cash basis of accounting.
• Monitor and conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis.
• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable.
• Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
• Securely handle and manage sensitive and confidential information.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant field.
• CPA license a preferred plus.
• No other work commitments.
• Need to have a certification of English C2(Advanced/Mastery) language knowledge test.
• Must know U.S. GAAP rules.
• 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Pro-advisor certification in recent versions is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, data extracts, etc.).
• Know how to use Microsoft Word, Google Docs and Sheets.
• Must have a laptop or PC workstation with webcam and microphone
• Must have a reliable internet connection with internet speed at least 20mbps.
• Suitable work environment at home and not at public area such as coffee shop.
• Background screening is required.

Since we are on USA Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone, the candidate is required to be available remotely online during our normal business hours (Monday-Friday: 7am-4pm PST). During these hours, the candidate must be in direct communication with our accounting team either through Microsoft Teams or Zoom to go over our day-to-day activities.
