JOB OVERVIEW

I’m seeking a writer who has expertise in composting, who could comprehensively cover the basics of composting and, particularly, composting in small, indoor spaces (i.e., an urban apartment). I need someone who can start immediately. Your first language MUST be English.

You will be able to provide relevant and experienced knowledge on the subject, as well as practical advice.

At the moment I’m looking for someone to create a succinct resource on composting in an apartment. But, should opportunity lie in publishing a more comprehensive resource that covers gardening in an apartment,too, then I would be open to that. What’s next? Perhaps this would entail recipes that call for ingredients the reader has grown themselves. I digress.

The book should include the following:

- A personalized tone (you and me, one-on-one, etc.)
- Magazine headline-style teasers in the TOC without giving the book away in the TOC
- The use of keywords provided in the title, subtitle, and/or description (I’ve conducted some research on this and could provide insight if helpful).
- An introduction that excites and sells – what is the problem? What is the solution? Quantifiable and tangible solutions
- A Headline – Background – Resolution – Action Framework throughout the book
+ Headline – Why you should be reading this book
+ Background – What you will get out of reading this book (state the problem(s) the book will resolve
+ Resolution – How to conceptually solve the problem
+ Action – A step-by-step process to solve the problem (this would also include recipes)
- Providing the reader with exactly what they’re looking for (how to control the heat of compost, what type of containers to use, where to store it, etc.)
- Niche research – find out what people are saying about the subject (use resources like Amazon, Reddit, YouTube, etc.). Know your target market and what they’re asking for.(Again, I’ve done some of this research already and would hand that over to help; it’s more of a starting point.)

This position will require you to:
1. Create an Amazon Authors page
2. Write a brief descriptions for the book following the H-B-R-A framework above
3. Choosing compelling pictures for the book
4. Write the book
5. Format the book with pictures included, and an interactive TOC
