Data Researcher – Chinese National OR Mandarin Speaker

Role

Reporting to the Head of Desk Based Research, the Data Researcher is responsible for collecting and verifying specified data from a variety of sources and keeping our global database current and accurate.

Working to deadlines, the individual works to a weekly, geographical based plan, to meet the annual data collection schedule for the business.

The role involves adhering to high quality standards and ensuring consistency and accuracy, whilst meeting the data entry target per hour.

A high level of attention to detail is expected, along with embracing the variety of tasks and demands of our clients. A team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to our growing business.

The role is home based with a potential move to shared offices in the Manila area in 2022.


Responsibilities

• Meeting deadlines, according to weekly data collection schedule
• Maintaining and creating school and contact records on a bespoke database
• Able to react to ad-hoc data requests and projects where required
• Involved in team quality checking
• Work with the Head of Desk Based Research to provide continuous improvement, reviewing procedures and services to areas within your control


Key Skills

• Experienced in data entry with an excellent command of English and demonstrable ability to enter numerical and written data in a precise way with an exacting attention to detail
• Be able to speak and read Mandarin fluently
• Cantonese language skills an advantage, but not essential
• Excellent familiarity of China with current knowledge of Chinese culture
• Familiar with the Chinese education system an advantage, but not essential
• Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and produce high quality and quantity of output
• Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Willingness and ability to work with a range of web-based tools and systems
• Be decisive, accurate and take a lead role in the tasks they are responsible for, with a result oriented and commercial focus
• Good interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact effectively with staff members and other departments
