Full-stack WordPress Developer

We are looking for a full-stack WordPress web developer to work with us on an ongoing recurring basis (up to 40 hours per month). This would a full-time resource that we would need to communicate daily (we work on EST timezone).

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Custom WordPress Theme / Plugin Development
- Front-end development in general (CSS, SCSS, HTML, jQuery)
- Back-end development (PHP, MySQL)
- Local development (MAMP mostly, but WAMP, XAMPP, and LocalDev by Flywheel are acceptable)
- WordPress front-end/theme development (WP Rig, Underscore and its variants, and random other marketplace or custom themes, as well as Divi (we plan to do a lot with it), Elementor, and other page builders)
- WordPress plugin development
- DevOps (Agile, Hive project management software, Git, Bitbucket, Pantheon Git repos and deployments, Gulp, Node.js, VSCode)
- Cloud-based Hosting (AWS, Cloudways, and especially Pantheon)
- Regular Wordpress Hosting (GoDaddy, WPEngine, SiteGround)
- Use our in-house starter theme & plugin to rapidly build “mobile-first” websites.
- Integrate advanced business logic and e-commerce functionality into new and existing partners’ websites.
- Work with other developers in version controlled environments.
- Test and verify websites work properly across multiple browsers and devices.
- Follow ADA accessibility best practices for website construction.
- Multi-task projects with external requests and self-manage within the schedule.
- Regularly perform maintenance and performance improvements of partner websites.
- Work with the team, bringing your ideas and insights, to improve our internal tools and processes.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in WordPress.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Functional knowledge of Object Oriented PHP (or other OO language).
- Experience with Git.
- Ability to interpret and implement user interface designs with a high level of quality.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Three to five years working in an agency environment, or ability to show related experience.
