Design Engineer

This includes all departments including power generation, transmission, distribution, and all forms of distributed energy resources (DER) and renewables. We provide data analytics, engineering assessments, and custom software development.

Job Description Summary
We are looking for a part-time contract Design Engineer with experience with electric utility substation design and construction.

This position will work with principal engineers to design electrical facility upgrades such as switchgear design, protection, and control wiring, transformer ---------- addition, the design engineer may perform system assessments, and prepare technical reports.

Assignment will include:
• Create and update electrical drawings
• Perform studies and assessments related to electric reliability standards (NERC, WECC, and CAISO)
• Perform Protection studies for transmission lines, transformers, and generators
• Review of maintenance and test reports for electrical equipment such as transformers, station batteries, relays, and circuit breakers.

Job Qualifications Education
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering is a minimum qualification
• Professional Engineers License
• 3 years of work experience

Software Requirements
• AutoCad
• REVIT
• SketchUp
• Blubeam REVU
• Strong knowledge PC skills
• Strong knowledge of MS products: Excel and Word
• Communication skills as all of the tea ---------- mbers will be based in the USA
