Executive Assistant to CEO [Long Term Career at a Fast Growing Company]

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
This position will directly support the founder and owner of the company and have direct impact on the growth of the company. You will:
* Help maximize efficiency for the owner
* Learn and then perform many jobs and tasks he currently performs
* Research new ideas, products, tools, etc. to aid in company growth
* Solve a wide variety of problems and challenges
* Be available to help with a wide variety of tasks, sometimes with urgent deadlines

It is critical that you are very detail oriented, organized, able to learn new things, have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, resourceful, and full of integrity.

You will succeed by being able to get things done. You will learn the ins and outs of the company overt time. At first, your work will be very task based as you are given assignments, provided support to learn and accomplish them, and accomplish tasks. Over time as you learn more about the company, you will be responsible to solve problems on your own while keeping the company owner informed and discussing challenges you are facing in the process.

This position is perfect for someone that is very bright, hard working, resourceful, and looking to build a long term career where they will make an impact in the growth of a startup company. Then, once you have an idea of the direction to solve a problem, you can research, learn, and teach yourself new things. When you learn something new, you can teach others at the company about it.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with paid time off and annual bonuses. Because this role directly support the company owner, you will need to be able to work between 9 am and 3pm Mountain time (Utah USA) to closely and frequently coordinate with the owner. There is a measure of flexibility in your work, such that you can accomplish some of your work at other hours if you desire.

ABOUT TOM"S KEY COMPANY
Tom's Key Company ( ---------- ) started in 2018 and is a quickly growing firm that provides do-it-yourself car key programming solutions directly to vehicle owners (primarily USA and Canada customers currently). This enables customers to save money over expensive dealership prices for an extra key or remote. We are headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. We have several employees in the Philippines currently and need additional tea ---------- mbers to help the startup company continue growing.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* First and foremost, this position must be a “doer”. You are able to accomplish and complete tasks, often while researching, analyzing, and learning new things in the process.
* Research new ideas, concepts, tools, etc to help the company and prepare recommendations on your findings
* Implement new tools and processes to help the business
* Coordinate and manage the owners schedule
* Help build the company by researching and implementing new ideas to help in company growth
* There will be many things that come up in the business that you will help accomplish - whether small things like disputing an incorrect charge from a supplier to extensive research and implementation of a new solution to help the business grow.


REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
* Strong experience with email, spreadsheets, computer/website applications
* Exceptional written and verbal English skills, including quick typing skills
* Available 40 hours per week, including 9am-3pm Mountain Time Zone (Utah USA)
* Detail oriented - able to pick up on details and recognize how they fit into the big picture. Then, determine which details matter and not get bogged down by details at the detriment of the bigger picture / overall success and growth of the company.

* Ability to manage your time, balance priorities and competing tasks while organizing your work and helping the owner stay organized and complete essential tasks in a timely manner.

OPTIONAL SKILLS
* Experience managing a Shopify and/or Amazon store
* Hands on experience with repairing cars/vehicles, engines, or other related equipment. This will be helpful in learning intricacies of car key programming and helping solve related problems.

EXAMPLES OF TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM
* Build a spreadsheet database of vehicle year, make, model and products from our website/Shopify store. This will be several thousands of rows of data. This will help prepare for a major website upgrade (website upgrade to be performed by another employee or consultant)
* Schedule appointments and manage calendar for improved efficiency
* Figure out how to set up company on Google maps and start getting reviews there
* Learn about company inventory and help manage it. There are over 100 SKUs and 3 different locations where inventory is stored and shipped from. Find ways to organize this, ensure new inventory is ordered from our suppliers at appropriate times, etc.

APPLICATION & HIRING PROCESS
* Learn a bit about the company by reviewing ---------- and a couple of our YouTube videos, at least one from each of two YouTube channels. Share something you notice on the website and share links to one video from each channel and state something you interesting you learned from the video.
