Accountant for Global operations (Remote Independent Contractor)

Looking for an Independent Contractor CPA license or CPA Candidate to join our fast paced team as an Accountant to support our global operations. This position will be REMOTE working NIGHT SHIFT: Must be able to work US East Coast (EST) Hours

REMOTE POSITION: Candidate must have reliable, high speed internet access.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Record and analyze the company's financial information.
Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports
Analyze and interpret financial information that corporate executives need in order to make sound business decisions.
Prepare and submit payroll to management
Review and approve expense reports, vacation accruals and time sheets
Manage and train employees
Approve weekly time-sheets via QuickBooks
Prepare financial reports for other groups, including: creditors, employees and tax authorities.
Review and monitor costs inherent in the business.
Financial forecasting and planning when needed
Performing variance analysis
Tracking and reconciling purchase orders, petty cash, advancement, etc.
Balance credit card monthly statements
Updating/alerting systems of accounting/billing functions
Prepare and remit client invoices
Follow up on client invoice approvals
Prepare payroll for US and/or Manila employees
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Compiles information and coordinates with the company's auditors in support of financial and/or compliance audits (i.e. audits for insurance, retirement plan, etc.).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting - Degree in Accounting REQUIRED
5+ Yrs of Accounting Experience
CPA license or CPA Candidate
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH A US CLIENT/EMPLOYER/COMPANY.
Must have significant work experience with Quickbooks application including A/P, A/R, journal entry, and reconciliation
Must have strong understanding of GAAP
Monthly Reconciliation, Closing, and General Ledger entry experience
Able to read/understand various financial statements
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Ability to set up and process payroll accounts
Required language(s): English
Full-Time position available.
