Web developer - wordpress

WordPress Web Developer with experience in an agency environment to join our growing team. This role is responsible for implementing custom website designs in content management systems such as WordPress. The ideal candidate has a high level of competence with mobile-first web development best practices, is constantly learning about new technologies and loves the challenge of building custom websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working with multiple developers in version controlled environments, using tools such as git and Pantheon
• Working directly with our development starter theme to rapidly develop websites, landing pages, and third-party and marketing integrations
• Regularly perform performance / Lighthouse audits and continuously improve web development accounts
• Implementing ADA accessibility in designs and development
• Write initial headline copy to align with the strategy and complement created designs
• Building out web pages for web development accounts and CORE sites
• Ability to multi-task projects self-manage within a set schedule to complete commitments on time
• Participate in the design review process, asking necessary questions to determine functionality requirements for future web builds
• Write, test and maintain HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and PHP on sites built with WordPress CMS
• Create prototypes and staging sites for review and feedback using Pantheon as our in-house development hosting solution
• Assist with the maintenance and performance improvements of client websites using a data-driven approach
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to develop and consistently improve a highly integrated online experience
• Use Google Search Console to troubleshoot website errors and resolve issues identified by the tool
• Gain familiarity with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup
