Web Developer

We are seeking a full-time web developer to work on new and existing websites. The developer will create html/css layouts, add content, write new css, update css, add images, and write jQuery and javascript as needed. Applicant should have 3+ years of experience with HTML and CSS and 2+ years with jQuery. Applicant should also have 2+ years working with Wordpress.

**Must speak English well. Must have a better than average ability to communicate in English.

**This job excludes those with basic web skills who can only do basic Wordpress setup.

REQUIREMENTS:
[-] Bachelors Degree or other education in Computer Science or Web Design related program preferred.
[-] Knowledge in standard website development practices and up-to-date on design trends and techniques.
[-] Comfortable with building complex HTML layouts and table-less layouts.
[-] Comfortable both creating new CSS and modifying existing CSS.
[-] At least intermediate level php knowledge.
[-] Knowledge of Wordpress is a must, including the following:
-Ability to setup MySQL databases for Wordpress in CPANEL.
-Ability to install the latest Wordpress version, setup the theme, and set appropriate settings based on the design provided.
-Ability to make Wordpress updates manually through FTP.
-Comfortable with installing and configuring plugins.
-Ability to add php code to create custom functions WITHOUT using plugins.
-Ability to customize themes using CSS according to specifications and artwork.
-Capable of debugging php errors.
-Ability to add content to web pages according to artwork specifications and maintain consistent styles across all web pages.
[-] Familiarity with and use of Web Inspector tools for CSS and HTML troubleshooting.
[-] Ability to resize images appropriately for web pages.
[-] Familiarity with php programming and best practices.
[-] Some experience testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
[-] Knowledge of developer libraries used in web development.
[-] Knowledge of responsive web design and css.
[-] Better than average ability to communicate in English.
[-] Have regular internet access at home for communicating regularly on Skype chat, and possibly Skype video chat.
[-] If hired, this should be your only full-time job.
[-] A Skype account for regular communication with our team throughout the work day.


The designer should also:
[-] On existing websites:
-Be able to add content based on current style of the website.
-Ability to complete content additions and site tasks completely, timely and with minimal instructions.
[-] On new websites:
-Be able to look at the design or theme provided and make improvements or suggestions based on his or her experience.
-Create new css styles that complement the current theme.
-Provide suggestions on libraries or plugins to accomplish certain required functions.
[-] Be able to handle instructions well.
[-] Provide suggestions to improve or enhance the designs or layouts.
[-] Be able to finish out content in a professional way.
[-] Have a reasonable eye for design with regards to what does and does not look good in a web design.
[-] Take the time to be observant toward typos, errors, and layout problems.
[-] Continue to study current trends, libraries and best practices in the web development industry.

SALARY:
Pay is PhP 24,000 to 30,000 per month depending on experience and expertise. Some benefits and paid vacation and sick time included. Payment is made through PayPal once a month.
