Part-Time Social Media Marketer for Houston Personal Injury Law Firm

About Us
We are a boutique personal injury law firm in Houston, Texas, specializing in auto a ---------- cases and slip and falls (2 areas). Our firm consists of one dedicated attorney supported by a small, focused team of 1 paralegal and 1 legal assistant. We're looking to expand our online presence and connect with potential clients through strategic social media marketing.

What you need to know
I have basically very little online presence. A few 5-star google reviews on google business. I advertise on Facebook/ Instagram for car wreck cases and slip and fall cases.

Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Social Media Marketing Specialist with experience growing small professional service businesses, particularly law firms. The ideal candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and eventually TikTok to increase our visibility, establish our brand as a trusted resource for personal injury victims, and generate qualified leads.
Responsibilities
• Develop a content calendar and create engaging, professional content tailored to personal injury law and our target audience
• Manage and grow our presence across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and later TikTok)
• Create visually appealing graphics and short-form videos that communicate our services and value proposition
• Research and utilize relevant hashtags and trends in the legal industry
• Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategies based on performance
• Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage direct messages
• Stay informed about personal injury law topics to ensure accurate content
• Collaborate with the attorney to highlight case successes (while maintaining client confidentiality)
• Identify opportunities for community engagement and local networking
• Implement a process for gathering reviews

Requirements
• Proven experience growing a small business social media presence, preferably for a boutique law firm or professional service business
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X
• Experience with content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar). I have a Canva account you could use.
• Excellent written communication skills with English grammar and spelling
• Basic understanding of legal ethics regarding attorney marketing
• Ability to create professional, empathetic content appropriate for personal injury victims without attorney being on camera. This may change later.
• Content should create “emotion” (for example a quick content piece could be someone saying “Imagine being gifted a home…or enough to put a sizeable down payment on one. • Must engage with clients as if you are the attorney (I will give you a list of standard responses and ask that you respond within 4 hours of someone leaving a comment).
• Experience with social media analytics and reporting
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Familiarity with U.S. culture and communication styles
• Should create a plan for growth and be willing to discuss your plan with attorney. Plan should include growth rate.
Hours and Compensation
• 15-20 hours per week (flexible). These hours will increase with time.
