General Accountant
Job Title

Tradezilla Corporation is looking for a General Accountant who will be responsible for performing functions in the following areas -- accounting, financial, taxation, compliance, cash management and banking.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Accounting, Financial and Reporting Functions:
Documents and records financial transactions properly in the Company’s Journal and appropriate Chart of Accounts.
Prepares the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
Resolve financial discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records
Present regular and ad hoc financial reports to stakeholders
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing ---------- tablishes, maintains, and recommends accounting policies and procedures.
Acts as Company’s main person-in-charge for accounting procedures, policies, and regulations (e.g., Owners, tea ---------- mbers, accounting clerical staff)
Ensures financial information documents are organized and have backups.
All of these to be done mainly through Quickbooks online.

Taxation and Compliance Functions:
Computes and ensures taxes and other regulatory requirements (e.g., business permits, licenses) are paid and processed on-time
Liaises with the Company’s outsourced finance and accounting partner
Ensures compliance with existing and new national and local financial and legal requirements and advises management on needed ---------- sh Management and Banking Relationship:
Prepares revolving two-month cash flow forecast and determine cash requirements
Monitors daily cash position and ensures all cash-in and cash-out in the bank accounts are all accounted through proper documentation (AP and AR documents)
Verifies requests for payment documents and executes disbursements (e.g., check preparation, OTC withdrawal, online payments, USD purchase, etc.)
Ensures the Company’s fund resources to pay obligations are up to date
Coordinates with banks for processing of required documents for cash management



Other Tasks:
Manages projects related to accounting
Assists management concerning labor relations, salary, and benefits.
Supports the Supply Chain Team by communicating with supply and retail partners, assists in monitoring product inventory in stores/branches, purchasing of products and supplies.
Assists the Customer Service Team by preparing accurate price quotations for customers’ special orders.
Executes tasks the management may assign from time to time



Skills and Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting
Preferred, but not required - Certified Public Accountant
Intermediate to advanced level in Quickbooks
Knowledgeable in ERPlain, Slack, Trello
Computer and online apps-use literate - Google Docs and Sheets,
Background in online retail or distribution industry (preferred but not required).
Above-average English communication and writing skills
At least 2-3 years of similar work experience
Able to work independently with little or no supervision
Detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and team player

Willing to work full-time from Mon-Fri;
Required attendance in the morning to meet bank schedules and cut-offs
Willing to report physically at least twice a month at San Juan City Office; and to attend the once a week online general meeting
Willing to participate in the team’s book club and other team activities.
Has own reliable internet connection at home.
