Who you are
As a Shopify Lead Developer, You will be leading the design and development of innovative Website development projects. You will work with project managers, Shopify developers, QA professionals and client teams to deliver the very best in ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities
Help facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with Project Manage and Client teams
Lead Development team in multiple, concurrent Shopify projects
Ensure quality control processes are successfully employed
Estimate development timelines, cost and resource needs
Communicate progress, timelines and deliverables to Project manager and key stakeholders.
Create high level technical design documentation and provide a technical approach for the solution with estimates, including required 3rd party apps or custom app implementation.
Maintain and enhance existing Shopify ecommerce websites using best practices
Participate in Planning Sessions, Scrum, and Sprint planning activities as needed.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the developers
Help developers establish and follow coding best practices
Lead on- and off-shore Shopify teams
Work with project managers and developer teams to ensure solutions are delivered timely and on budget
Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting and solutioning through high priority production issues.

Requirements
Strong communication skills – We work as a tight knit team and need everyone’s voice to be heard
Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a similar field
2+ years of experience developing within the Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms
7-10 years of experience in front-end technologies including, but not limited to, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML
Knowledge of platform API’s
Superb troubleshooting & debugging skills
Strong discipline for testing quality/devops processes unique to Shopify (Version Control, Automation, Theme Development)
Able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment
Has a true passion for design and technology – We need innovation
Positive attitude, high energy, and love for broadening web development skill set
Experience with Google analytics
Interest in Beauty a Plus!




Bonus Points:
Understanding of conversion rate optimization or data-driven product development (analytics, a/b testing, etc.)
Experience developing with prototype frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
Experience with project management tools such as Clickup
Continuously look for ways to improve conversion rates and implement A/B tests
Experience with Languify
Previous agency experience
