update web site to consistent layout and css

Job Overview:

The site has about many pages with common components and common js files. The site uses css3 but not consistent. The site uses Vue3, but you should only need to know html5, css3 (flexbox), and modern javascript for this job. We will provide some training for the unique features of this job.

Tasks:

1. The existing css needs to be simplified, use consistent naming conventions and made re-use (common) where possible and made hierarchical. We will convert to SASS or SCSS depending on discussion and analysis.

2. Use common and nested layouts where possible. The site needs to be converted to the client provided corporate brand colors and example styles and layout.

3. Much of the work will use html and css, but you will need some understanding of ES6 to make the UI consistent. You also have access to a senior developer and the software architect for assistance. You will be using VSCode and/or a custom developed web based editor to make changes.

4. Help create components (we will show you how) that represents standard behaviors for reusable parts. For example, popup menu, page menu, navigation, file upload. We already have a lot of these components. You need to clean them up with training provided by us. They will follow good architectural patterns, which many we will provide.

5. The site is always changed on a daily basis. Create clear and simple notes for the future developer that needs to make follow-on changes.

6. You will work with one ore more developer to run existing or create unit tests to ensure the pages work after any current and future changes.

7. Initially you will be working one on one with one or more developers until you can do more work yourself. The core hours are 8:00 pm PST to 6:00 pm PST. You are expected to be online using a screen sharing tool during the core hours for a block of 50% or as negotiated of the time for collaboration and discussion with other tea ---------- mbers.

8. You will provide a daily (approx one paragraph) status of tasks performed and use a time tracking tool. However you are graded more in results and tasks completed than time expended. You will keep a daily journal for your tasks and status for your and your manager benefit. We are creating a help system for developers. The knowledge created is more important than code. Once finished you will be using the help system to document your changes for you, your manager, other tea ---------- mbers, and for any future developers.

9. The first job is expected to be finished in 60 days. If the scope increases or the job will take more time than estimated, the completion date will be extended. For an employee, when the first job is finished successfully, there will be subsequent jobs available so no gaps in employment will occur. This position is projected to be long term. Long term, you will work on the next generation web development tools where a user can create and modify web apps 2-5X faster..

10. Good code requires iteration and different approaches. Your correct analysis and approach is more valuable than code. We are a software company and we think writing code is easy, once the approach and analysis is done properly. However mis-communication and mis-understanding occurs too frequently. This will require you to ask as much questions as you think is necessary and to write down or repeat verbally what is required.

11. Payment will be weekly the first month and then bi-weekly thereafter. Payment will be made on scheduled days via Xoom or equivalent. Once eligible, you will get 13th month prorated payment. If employee, you will get standard paid holidays and benefits after tenure.
