JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:
• Design the SEO strategy and communicate the strategy through a GANTT timeline to the site stakeholders and executives.
• Lead in the maintenance of web properties (including designs, optimization, and conversion elements; optimized internal architecture; and reporting tools).
• Audit sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, revamped, etc.; prepare detailed SEO strategy reports.
• Keep SEO knowledge up-to-date, and inform stakeholders on updates to the search environment. Make adjustments to strategies and tactics to take full advantage of the latest updates from Google, Bing and any other influential search engine.
• Link opportunity discovery and acquisition based on analysis of the benefit of the opportunities to impact on rankings and referral traffic.
• Implement analytics web metrics programs to analyze website performance against goals to improve website.
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase traffic and revenue through online search methods.
• Identify roadblocks to conversion and work with web dev team to remove friction from the conversion process in order to increase conversion rates and revenue.
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned in a timely manner.
• Periodically report on the performance of the web properties (weekly, monthly, quarterly)

Education & Experience:
3-5 Years in competitive SEO environment.
Bachelors degree in computer science preferred, but not required. Must have a bachelors degree at a minimum.

Competency Identifiers :
• Excellent written and spoken communications skills, comfortable with communicating with the C level executives.
• Knowledge of Searcher Personas, and a sustainable approach to SEO strategy.
• Knowledge of full Google Analytics toolset. Additional Web metrics tools experience.
• Knowledge of SEO management platforms such as BrightEdge, Raventools, SEOClarity, etc.
• Expert level knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools.
• Effective knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Highly creative with the ability to conceptualize and provide original ideas.
• Intuitive understanding of what makes a truly great interactive experience.
• Aware of industry trends and marketing opportunities in social media.
• Ability to work with others, and effective in leading collaborative efforts across the organization.
• The ability to assess a situation, develop a plan, get approval and run with it.
• 3-5 years experience in a competitive SEO environment.
• Experience performing analysis and writing functional specifications.
• Background in Web technologies, HTML, PHP, Javascript, and CSS design skills.
• Effective analytical, research and problem solving skills.
