Entrepreneurial Software Business Manager

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual with a strong interest in software/business to manage an eCommerce app business. The app was launched in 2019, and is available on the BigCommerce/Shopify app store.

An ideal candidate for this role is someone with a university degree in business (or demonstrated experience growing an online business), and a strong interest in SAAS businesses. You will essentially be running most aspects of an online software business, with approximately 300 active enterprise users (growing by 10-15 enterprise users per month).

The goal of this role is for the successful candidate to grow with the app, and eventually serve the role of president, with full responsibility for strategy and growth. Your earnings will directly increase with the growth of the app, so you can view this role as similar to running/managing your own online software company.

You will not be micromanaged or sent endless boring tasks, and your success will be judged based on the growth and enhancement of the business under your management.

The app is currently managed part-time by the original creator (me), and it has now grown to the point where it needs full-time attention from a motivated/entrepreneurial individual. I think I am easy to work with, and I believe in everyone living a balanced between work and leisure.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

-- Sales: You will be responsible for maintaining a sales pipeline, reaching out to prospects, and conducting app demos.
-- Customer Support: We only receive 0-5 user emails per day, so this is relatively light. You will be responsible for responding to users, and communicating any bugs/issues to the development team.
-- Product Management: You will be responsible for listening to user feedback, and translating this feedback into specifications for the software developers to code into the app.
-- Marketing: You will be responsible for updating marketing campaigns, and creating marketing content.
-- Website Help Materials: You will be responsible for writing and updating help guides to help users use new features of the app.
-- Admin Tasks: You will be responsible for a few monthly administrative tasks (there’s not very much administrative work).

Compensation: The starting annual base salary is $14,400, and will increase to $18,000 after six months (base salary will then increase annually). You will also receive sales commissions, which can significantly increase your compensation.

Hours/Schedule: This is a full-time, long-term position (at least 40 hours per week). We can discuss a schedule that fits your lifestyle. (You do not necessarily need to work full US business hours, but may need to have your daily schedule begin or end at the beginning of US business hours.)
