Job description:

Marquez Consultants LLC is looking for an individual who is passionate and experienced in both medical billing and customer service. This individual will be communicating to patients regarding their account and ensuring that all outstanding claims are paid timely.

Duties and responsibilities but not limited to:

Verify patient insurance

Follow up on unpaid claims with in 15+ ---------- ll insurance companies regarding inaccurate payments if necessary.

Research, correct and appeal any denied claims.

Assist with posting, submitting claims, Trizetto, or office ally if needed.

Weekly meetings with team regarding goal and updates pertaining to patient balances.

Assist doctors and administrative staff regarding patient ---------- eck emails and voicemails.

Help create and implement policies and procedures.

Knowledge and skills


Knowledge of insurance compliance and guidelines.

Experienced with CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Ability to communicate information effectively to both patients and payers to resolve issues.

Basic interpersonal skills; face-to-face, over the phone, and through email.

Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks if necessary.

Problem-solving skills.

Maintaining confidential information per Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent.

Data entry, typing, and 10-key skills.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the medical field.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience with customer service.

1-year of experience in a Chiropractic office preferred.

Documenting/recording information: Entering, recording, storing, and maintaining patient information.

Evaluating information to ensure compliance: Using relevant information as well as individual judgment to determine whether the processes are in compliance with regulations, standards, and the law.

Processing information: Compiling, coding, auditing and ensuring information accurate.

Work conditions:

Data entry: 90?ily

Mailing out correspondences: 20?ily

Printing materials: 20?ily

On the phone: 90 ?ily

Contact with others: 50% of the time.

Spending time sitting and typing: 90% of the time daily.

Wages and benefits:

Depends on experience and location with potential bonuses.
