Podcast agency looking for a show notes writer. We're growing and need a show notes writer we can trust, that is self-reliant and has proven experience.
The main part of the job requires listening to the edited podcast episode and extracting the following:
- A comprehensive summary of the episode
- Timestamps to the topics covered in the episode
- A checklist of actions to take derived from the learnings in the episode
- A list of resources mentioned in the episode
We value over everything else the ability for the writer to reflect the way the host speaks into writing. This means that sometimes as writers try to summarize the contents of an episode, some liberties may be taken with the language or sentence structure, and it's very important that when doing so, it still sounds like something the client would say, that the sentences match as close as possible how they speak. If you'd like to be considered for this position please use the word panda in your application. We'll assume that if you don't mention this word is because you haven't read this application in its entirety and we will have to disqualify your application. We also would like someone that can deliver their work within a reasonable time-frame of between 1-3 days.
Please attach samples of your work. Please also add a rough turnaround time for a 1 hour raw podcast episode, if you are able, along with a fixed cost for doing so. If we are happy with your submission we'll ask you to do a paid test at your submitted fixed rate so we can properly assess your skills.
We are looking for someone that can commit for a long period (years) and would be happy for workload to start small and increase over time as new clients are on-boarded and volume of work
