Web Developer/Webmaster

We are a web design agency that provides services to the local services businesses and other small businesses. We are a growing company and need a highly skilled computer programmer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming, setting up servers and email, google analytics, google tag manager, etc.

We require someone that can develop and troubleshoot websites in Wordpress and perform website maintenance on existing sites. Quality assurance and attention to detail are essential.

You need to have experience with most of these and it must be clear in your resume.

High-level understanding of the WordPress development
Developing/modifying custom WordPress/Woo-Commerce themes and plugins.
Knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, JS, jQuery, CSS and HTML
Solve bugs and address client issues in a fast-paced environment.
Test solutions across multiple browsers and platforms.
Quality assurance skills and attention to detail
Good written communication skills
Knowledge of WordPress coding standards
Work on website performance optimization tasks
Experience working with popular plugins like ACF, Gravity forms, etc
Fast learner, ability to research issues and solve problems
Develop, test and troubleshoot across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including tablets and smartphones, to support a consistent and positive customer experience
Follow SEO best practices for site development
Managing servers (Cloudways)

Email setup and troubleshooting (Google Workspace)
Google Analytics
Google Tag Manager

Nice to have:
Experience with Divi theme and knowledge of it’s development processes and ecosystem
Understanding of typography, design and layout skills

Basic job requirements
Stable internet connection
Minimal to no power outages in your area and if there are power outages on a regular basis please provide a plan on how you will be able to acquire backup power and complete your work
2 valid government ID’s
Ability to start work at 4 pm Pacific Time (Vancouver) and be available for 4 hours. The rest of your workday is up to you. The position is 40 hours per week.
Some occasional weekend or late work may be required if a website project and maintenance issue requires it.
Proactive and enthusiastic attitude
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to meet deadlines
Be responsible for the health and maintainability of our websites

Education

Preference is given to those with relevant bachelors or masters degree
