JOB OVERVIEW

Compudent Systems Inc. provides services to the dental and medical industries in Canada and the US, and has been doing so for 23 years. Our technicians install and service X-Ray, imaging and I/T equipment for a number of vendors and clients.

A long-term position is available for a bookkeeping and admin specialist who will undertake the bookkeeping and administrative tasks required immediately to update and reconcile accounts. Ongoing duties will then evolve into tasks performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Bookkeeping responsibilities involve initially the use of Intuit Quickbooks and the data entry of expense and bank records, and the reconciliation of monthly records. The successful candidate will then take on the ongoing responsibility of all the daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks. Quickbooks bookkeeping and account related tasks involve:

• Data entry of bookkeeping records
• Account reconciliation
• Accounts Receivable Reporting
• Generating pre-scheduled invoices and some technical ticket invoices
• Weekly/monthly report preparation and basic bookkeeping

Additional administrative tasks will also include, in time, as training and abilities allow:

• Daily review of technician tickets
• Invoice completed work tickets from the previous day
• Organize and schedule technicians for the next day
• Filing work reports for technical staff
• Documentation Tasks : documenting processes and procedures
• Completing and filing client reports
• Completing and submitting regulatory and test documents
• Various other administrative tasks, as required
• CEO support - scheduling / general support, such as booking flights and other ad hoc needs, as required

Requirements:
• Trustworthiness
• Excellent attention to detail, highly accurate
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
• Bookkeeping experience reconciling bank and expense accounts
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Good understanding of Basic Accounting Principles
• Ability to work with limited guidance
• Ability to solve problems, but equally important is to have the ability to know when to ask questions and look for help.
• Analytic ability, ability to identify problems.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite

Nice to Have:
• Certified Public Accountant, QuickBooks Pro Advisor

Working Environment:
• You will work from your home. You will therefore need a reliable high-speed Internet connection, a capable computer with a printer to improve productivity, and somewhere distraction-free to work.
• All work will be done remotely on our ---------- additional software will be required on your end. You will login remotely to perform your daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
• All source documents such as bank statements, expense information, and technician reports, etc. will be available online.
• A simple point-form email outlining progress, updates and questions will be expected at the end of each work day.
• Compudent operates in Canada, out of Toronto, which is in the Eastern Time Zone EST/EDT (UTC-05:00), but this job would be performed in the Philippine Time Zone PHT (UTC+08:00). The reversed time zones allow administrative tasks to begin after our technicians file their tickets for the day and before our clients begin work on the ---------- munication, via email and some video correspondence would occur as required at predefined meeting times, usually at about 9:00am PHT.

This roll fills a long-term permanent need, and will evolve into a part-time or full-time position depending on the successful candidate's ability to undertake new tasks.
