Full Time Web Developer/Webmaster

Small web design & development business looking for a full time web developer/webmaster.

We create websites for new clients, maintain a handful of sites on a regular basis, and host some websites. This position includes tasks related to all three types of clients.

Here’s a short list of the types of tasks that come up regularly:
- Change text on page
- Swap out images in a slider
- Update a schedule
- WordPress install & plugin removal/addition
- Develop a responsive page based on a mockup
- Migrate websites from 1 host to another
- Update event pages using Custom Post Types
- Restructure theme pages for a specific design
- Troubleshoot website and/or plugin issues

As you can see, there is a wide variety of tasks, from simple text updates to full PHP pages. The frameworks we use most often for building websites are Headway and Genesis, however, sites that we maintain use many different themes. The right candidate for this position is an expert in all of the programs necessary for these tasks: HTML, CSS, PHP, etc.

This position requires:
- Availability during the regular work-week
- Sense of urgency
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ownership of assigned projects, taking notice and care of how individual tasks affect the website as a whole

In addition to being capable of completing all of the development assignments, it’s important that the person hired is enjoyable to work with and dedicated to quality work. This person will be an integral part of a very small team and must be looking for a long-term commitment, not something just for now. There may be times when the hired person will be communicating directly with clients so they need to be a shining representative of the company.

This position is open immediately but can be flexible if the right candidate needs to give notice to a current job. Open to discussing perks/benefits after working together for one year. This position is for an individual, not another development business.
