Technical Lead Java / Full Stack Environment

Position Description
General Requirements
? 5+ years of experience in Java development
? The ability to lead a Java development team
? Bilingual with good verbal and written English
Responsibilities
? Working as a Technical Lead to manage projects and a team of up to 5 Java Developers
? Being accountable for both hands-on coding and people leadership
? Training and monitoring the performance of tea ---------- mbers
? Setting up development and CI environments

Position Requirements
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
Experience and Knowledge and Skills
? Minimum 5 years commercial Java experience
? Demonstrated experience in full-stack development
? Solid experience in Java backend development
? Understanding of the software development project management lifecycle (end-to-end)
? Familiarity with Agile methodologies
? Exposure to at least some of the following:
o Documenting and building APIs, e.g. JSON, REST
o Linux/webserver technology
o Production database services, e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL
o CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab CI/CD or equivalent
o Amazon Web Services; e.g. EC2, S3, Elastic Cache, KMS, RDS
o Container tools/microservices, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS
o Some payment/authentication industry experience beneficial but not required

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Proven team leadership skills
? Ability to communicate and establish positive relationships with non-technical stakeholders.
? Organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
